Sheldon is an experienced and integrative counselling psychologist who tailors evidence-based therapies to individual needs, creating a safe and supportive environment to help clients work towards their self-development. Dr Sheldon D’Silva is a counselling psychologist with over a decade of experience in the field of mental health. He holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College, Dublin, as well as an MSc from University College London and a BSc from Middlesex University. Sheldon has worked in various primary care, community mental health, and educational settings, assisting children, adolescents, and adults with a range of difficulties across social, cognitive, psychological, and emotional domains. Sheldon's approach to therapy is integrative, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Psychodynamic Therapy, EFT, DBT, EMDR, and CBT, which he tailors to each client's specific needs. By creating a safe and supportive environment, he helps clients gain a deeper understanding of their emotional distress, enabling them to work towards their self-development. Aside from his professional expertise, Sheldon has a keen interest in research related to neurodiversity and parenthood. He is a firm believer in the importance of taking time to enjoy the ‘little joys’ in life. Outside of his work, Sheldon likes to explore the lighter side of life.
