Who is collecting data?
The personal data you provide, with consent, is being collected by The Insight Centre Psychology Ltd.
What data is being collected?
When you contact us, we ask you to provide your name, email address and telephone number. We also ask you to briefly describe the nature of your difficulty so we can assess what service is most suitable, and if you are looking to access a service for your child we will ask the child’s date of birth. We collect and store this data, along with records of any subsequent communications with us and of assessment and therapy sessions, for our records.
When and how is the data being collected?
We collect information when you send us an email enquiry, phone us, write to us, complete a website contact form or engage in our services. If you wish to enquire without providing personal data, please telephone us instead – but we may not be able to respond fully to your enquiry.
Use of Cookies
The website, theinsightcentre.ie, like many others, uses performance cookies to store and retrieve information on your browser. Performance cookies collect information regarding details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data. We use this information to understand how the visitors use the website, so that we can improve how we present the content. By using this site, you are agreeing to the use of cookies as described.
How will the information be used?
In order for us to provide you with the services we offer we need to collect personal data for correspondence purposes and detailed service provision.
If you provide your telephone number and mailing address, we may also use these to stay in touch with you. In any event, we are committed to ensuring that the information we collect and use is appropriate for these purposes and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy.
The legal basis for processing your data
By submitting your data through our website, or on email, by phone or post, you are confirming by your action that you consent to us processing the data you provide so that we can respond to your enquiry.

This website has an SSL certificate (https://), which means that the data you submit through this website is encrypted for security protection. Please contact us if you have any queries about our IT security.
Sharing data
We never pass your data to any third parties, unless:
- We have appointed them as a Data Processor to carry out work on our behalf (eg, a credit checking agency or subcontractor); or
- We wish to pass your sensitive personal data on to a third party however, we will only do so once we have obtained your consent, unless we are legally required to do otherwise.
How long will your data be stored?
If you make an enquiry, we’ll store your data for seven years from the point you first got in touch.
Your rights
As an individual, you can be completely removed from our records at any time, at your request. You also have the right to know what personal information we hold on you. You have the right to unsubscribe from any of our marketing communications, even if you have previously given consent to receive them.
