This is a 6 week group being run by Tara Furey, Senior Speech and Language Therapist and Dr Sheldon D’Silva, Counselling Psychologist. It will facilitate children who are in in 5th and 6th class and require social and emotional support. At the Insight Centre, we believe in neurodiversity and we feel that social communication support should enhance existing social skills that a child has and increase their understanding of social cues. Over the course of this group we will cover the following;

• Emotional vocabulary and regulation in relation to social situations
• Strategies to help your child manage conflict and anxiety in their relationships
• The subtle meanings of non-verbal communication such as, eye gaze, facial expressions and body language
• How to support yourself when you’re feeling stuck in a social situation

Costing: €400 and is running on a Friday 3.30pm – 4.30 pm for 6 weeks.
