Aoife is an engaging and hard working Certified Practicing Speech and Language Therapist (SLT). She is a member of CORU and the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists. She has graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2020. Aoife has experience working predominantly with children, in school, clinic and home settings. Within these environments she has worked with children who presented with a variety of difficulties/disabilities including Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Cleft Lip and Palate, children with hearing aids or cochlear implants, stuttering, learning difficulties, speech and language disorders, to name a few. She has experience working with families from all walks of life and backgrounds, including multicultural, multilingual and cultural minorities. Aoife enjoys working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic supports to a child and their family. Aoife has a keen interest in the areas of diagnosis, early childhood communication development, speech sound disorders, neuroaffirmative inclusivity and practice, Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC), and the transgender voice.
