Dr Daniel Dowling is a Clinical Psychologist with experience working with children, adults, and families across a range of settings. He completed his BA in Psychology at University College Dublin, his MSc in Health Psychology at King's College London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions at University College London, before being awarded his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Surrey. Daniel has specialist interests in suicide and self-harm, adolescent mental health, and male mental health. He has extensive experience working across diverse settings in the UK and Australia, including inpatient wards and community mental health services, and is passionate about empowering individuals to improve their overall quality of life through evidence-based psychological interventions. He takes a systemic approach to his work, considering not only the individual but also the support networks around them — including family, carers, and wider community contexts. He draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Systemic Family Therapy, and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, tailored to the unique needs of each client and their support system.
