Paula studied Clinical Speech and Language Studies at Trinity College Dublin and has experience in the assessment, intervention, and management of a wide range of communication disorders and is trained in Feeding Drinking and Swallowing Disorders. Paula is a member of the regulatory body, the IASLT (Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists) and her qualification has also been recognised by CORU. Paula has extensive experience working with children presenting with a wide range of communication disorders. She has worked in both private and public settings and has extensive experience working with children presenting with developmental delays and disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Development Language Disorder and Developmental Coordination Disorder. Paula is committed to prioritising the needs and values of clients and their families and strives to provide therapy that is most practical and beneficial to each client for their individual needs in their everyday lives. Paula believes in continuously updating and expanding her skill set through attending courses specific to her work with her specific client groups. She also collaborates with other professionals in order to discover how best to incorporate therapy activities into clients everyday lives while also learning and cooperating with other professionals so as to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
