Sachita Suryanarayan is an Educational Psychologist with a Doctorate from University College Dublin (UCD), with a background in Applied Psychology (Bachelors and Masters). Sachita has training and experience in conducting screenings, assessments and interventions for children presenting with additional learning needs including specific learning difficulties, autism spectrum and social and emotional difficulties. She has worked with children, families and adults alongside multidisciplinary teams across a range of services and settings including counselling, community and health services. She has experience and interest in eclectic psychological approaches and frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative therapies and attachment based approaches. Sachita is interested in understanding interactions between culture and perceptions of neurodiversity, mental health and services. Sachita's doctoral research explored South Asian immigrant families’ perceptions of services for their children with disabilities living in Dublin. She has also been involved in programmes that promote social and inclusive education opportunities for neurodivergent young people with in Dublin, London and New Delhi. Sachita values being a part of organizations and research that have a practical, meaningful impact on the lives of children, individuals and their caregivers, that are grounded in evidence-based approaches.
