About

Dr. Mairi Crombie is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Glasgow. Previous to this, Mairi completed an MSc in Psychological Therapies at the University of Dundee, a PgDip in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at King’s College, London and a BSc in Psychology at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Mairi has extensive experience working with children, young people, families and adults within Adult Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Older Adult, Intellectual Disabilities, Paediatric Health and Substance Misuse settings. This work has involved the assessment and intervention of various mental health difficulties, neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological conditions. Mairi has particular experience and interest in working with individuals experiencing low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and PTSD. Mairi believes in working in a collaborative, person-centred approach along with the importance of the therapeutic relationship to best work toward change and personalised goals. She works using various therapeutic approaches tailored to the individual needs of the client, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.
