Dr. Karen Lockhart is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her Doctorate in Psychological Science at University College Dublin. Karen also completed an MSc. in Applied Psychology with the University of Ulster and a BSc. in Psychology from The Queen's University, Belfast. Karen has worked with children, adolescents, adults and their families across various settings in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Psychiatry Services and Intellectual Disability services. Karen has experience in the assessment and intervention of a wide range of mental health, developmental, emotional and behavioural difficulties across the lifespan and seeks to work collaboratively with individuals and their families to support them to reach their full potential. Karen has worked for many years with children and adults with additional needs such as autism, intellectual disability and behavioural difficulties and is skilled in designing positive support systems and interventions that can be applied successfully in the home, school and work environments. Karen offers children, adolescents and adults comprehensive assessment and intervention services that are grounded in psychological theory and current best practice.
